FAQ 124: Software stops unexpectedly

Temporarily set Logging=Full in dnsredir.ini, re/start the software, then scroll to the bottom of today's log file for more information.

If you are over license, an error might appear in any of the C:\DNSREDIR\DailyLogs files such as:
   [License] Concurrent client license exceeded, please purchase a sufficient license.
or if you go 15% over your licensed number of clients...
   [License] Concurrent client license exceeded, please purchase a sufficient license.
   [License] Exiting because of insufficient license.
   [Initialize] DNS Listener has been stopped
For more information on concurrent clients see FAQ 98.

Check for other software/services that monopolize UDP port 53.
Check for firewall or anti-virus software that may be blocking or rate-limiting connections to DNS Redirector.
Make an exclusion in your anti-virus software for the C:\DNSREDIR working directory and all subfolders.

Run Windows/Microsoft Update to get all remaining .NET updates
Restart the computer after installation of .NET Framework/updates, even if the installer did not prompt you to, this finishes updating system files.
