FAQ 117: Use the same block page as OpenDNS

Category: BlockedIP function | Updated: 04/17/2010 1:37 PM

If your upstream DNS provider is OpenDNS, you can elect to use the same block page as provided by OpenDNS, instead of running your own blocked page on a local Apache or IIS server.

Resolution

From a machine that uses OpenDNS as it's resolver, go to a command-line and enter:
nslookup block.opendns.com
...this will return the IP address of the block site, which can be specified for BlockedIP= in dnsredir.ini
